Meek Mill is a famous rapper. I am not up on the rap game but I believe he came to fame and fortune the way most rappers do – have a feud with a more famous rapper.
And Meek Mill followed the playbook and got his name in the bright lights but he was hiding a shady past.
And it just caught up with him big time. It seems the rapper has been on probation for an earlier gun and drug case.
He was on probation for the crimes and he kept screwing up.
According to the New York Post a Philadelphia judge had finally had enough and just threw the book at him.
Genece Brinkley said a failed drug test, failure to comply with a court order limiting his travel, a reckless driving arrest in NYC, as well as getting arrested in the airport after a fight were the reasons she absolutely stunned the courtroom and the rapper who thought for sure he would get the usual slap on the wrist.
Not this time buddy.
She sentenced the rapper Meek Mill to two to four years in state prison. Which was a shocker considering the prosecutor had not sought any prison time.
Wiping the smirk of every rapper in America, including one Meek Mill, who have flaunted their celebrity as they got away with anything they pleased.
Star struck prosecutors said Meek had been off drugs since January and has been following the rules of his probation when they asked for mercy.
But the judge said she has been trying to help Meek Mill for years and he keeps surprising her by continuing to get into trouble with the law and that he thinks he can do whatever he wants. And he needs to learn actions have consequences.
